Overview of Glass Heat Soaked

Glass Heat Soaked treatment, also known as hot-dip treatment, is an important deep processing technology for glass. It achieves the purpose of reducing internal stress and lowering the risk of self-explosion by heating tempered glass to a specific temperature (usually 280℃ to 300℃), maintaining it at this temperature for a certain period of time (typically about 2 hours), and then slowly cooling it. During this process, impurities such as nickel sulfide inside the glass will cause the glass to break due to thermal expansion, and thus be removed during the Heat Soaked treatment process, thereby enhancing the safety performance of the product.

The specific process of Heat Soaked treatment

Heat Soaked treatment mainly includes three stages: heating, constant temperature and cooling. During the heating stage, the glass is uniformly heated to the set temperature. During the constant temperature stage, this temperature is maintained at a constant level, allowing the internal stress of the glass to be fully released. Finally, during the cooling stage, the glass is slowly cooled to the ambient temperature to complete the entire processing procedure.

The significance and value of Heat Soaked treatment

Heat Soaked treatment is of great significance for improving the safety performance of tempered glass. Tempered glass that has undergone homogenization treatment has a significantly reduced risk of self-explosion, thereby minimizing potential safety hazards that may occur during use. In addition, homogenization treatment also helps to enhance the quality and market competitiveness of glass products, creating greater economic benefits for enterprises.

In conclusion, glass heat soaked treatment is an effective heat treatment process, aiming to reduce internal stress in glass and lower the risk of self-explosion through specific temperature and time control.
