1. Reseal
If the fogging is caused by poor sealing, you can try resealing. First, ensure that the interior of the insulating glass is dry. Then, apply a layer of glass glue on the outside of the glass frame spacer to enhance the sealing performance. This method is applicable when the sealant cracks or ages.
2. Add gaskets
If the sealing performance of the insulating glass is good but the partition strip is improperly installed and causes fogging, you can try adding a glass gasket. Remove the original partition strip and add a gasket when reinstalling it to ensure that the partition strip keeps a certain distance from the edge of the glass window (generally 2mm). This method can effectively prevent water infiltration.
3. Check the indoor temperature
A large temperature difference between the inside and outside may also cause fogging in insulating glass. At this point, you can check whether the amount of molecular sieve fed into the middle partition bar is insufficient. If it is insufficient, it needs to be added. At the same time, maintaining a suitable indoor temperature and reducing temperature differences can also help prevent fogging.
4. Open the air pressure balance hole
For the fogging phenomenon caused by changes in air pressure, air pressure balance holes can be opened on the insulating glass to drain water. However, this method requires professional technicians to operate it to ensure that the overall performance of the insulating glass is not affected.
5. Reinstall the sink position
If the fogging is caused by the improper installation of the sink, the double-glazed window needs to be removed and reinstalled. Similarly, this method also requires professional technicians to operate it to ensure the installation quality and sealing performance.
