Anti-explosion glass is a special type of glass made through high-temperature strengthening treatment and high-molecular material interlayer splicing technology. When it breaks, the fragments stick together and do not fall off, which can effectively reduce the harm to the human body. The products are divided into common type (single-piece reinforced) and reinforced type (multi-layer composite), with thickness specifications ranging from 8 to 30 millimeters. The transparent base material can be customized in colored versions. They are widely used in security protection places such as bank counters and jewelry display cases. Its strength can reach 20 times that of ordinary glass, and it also has the functions of moisture-proofing, fireproofing and UV protection, which is different from tempered glass that has only undergone heat treatment.

The high-temperature furnace strengthening treatment technology is adopted. After the single piece of glass is shaped at a temperature above 800℃, it is laminated and spliced with polycarbonate or PVB polymer materials . The reinforced product needs to undergo lamination treatment by a 250-ton hydraulic press to form a molecular-level bond between the multi-layer glass and the film. The core process includes high-temperature strengthening treatment and interlayer splicing of polymer materials to ensure that the fragments do not fall off when the glass breaks.

The thickness tolerance of a single piece is controlled within ±0.2mm, and the interlayer adhesion force is ≥7N/mm². The light transmittance of the explosion-proof glass is ≥82% (transparent type), the bending strength is ≥150MPa, and it maintains structural stability in an environment ranging from -40℃ to 120℃. The ultraviolet blocking rate can reach up to 99% at most.

It is mainly used for bulletproof protection of bank cash counters (accounting for 38%), anti-theft protection of jewelry display cases (25%), anti-damage protection of prison observation Windows (18%), and high-end villa doors and Windows (12%). Special customized models can be used in special industrial scenarios such as explosion-proof partition walls in laboratories and observation Windows in chemical plants.

Wire-reinforced glass, having not undergone high-pressure strengthening treatment, will still form sharp edges when it breaks, thus failing to meet the safety standards for explosion-proof glass. There is a situation in the market where tempered glass is confused with explosion-proof glass. The former only enhances strength through heat treatment, while the latter achieves explosion-proof function through a composite structure.

It is made of ultra-clear glass sheets (with iron content ≤0.015%), combined with a 0.76mm thick PVB interlayer film, and processed through high-temperature strengthening and high-pressure technology to ensure that the fragments do not fall off when the glass breaks. The destructive test shows that the proportion of fragments with a particle size of ≤2mm² after being hit is over 95%, and the splashing distance does not exceed 50cm.
