As a highly transparent building envelope structure, the design and construction of all-glass curtain walls need to follow a series of strict norms. These requirements not only involve structural safety and stability, but also cover multiple aspects such as material selection, processing technology and installation quality. Adhering to these norms can ensure that all-glass curtain walls not only offer excellent decorative effects but also possess outstanding safety performance and a long service life.

The thickness of the panel glass of the all-glass curtain wall should be no less than 10mm, while the thickness of a single piece of laminated glass should not be less than 8mm. Meanwhile, the thickness of the rib section of the glass curtain wall should be over 12mm, and the section height should not be less than 100mm to ensure the structural stability.

2. When the size of the glass curtain wall exceeds a certain range, such as over 4 meters with a glass thickness of 10 to 12mm, or over 5 meters with a glass thickness of 15mm, or over 6 meters with a glass thickness of 19mm, the all-glass curtain wall must be suspended on the main structure to ensure safety.

3. The main components for suspending the all-glass curtain wall must have sufficient rigidity. When steel trusses or steel beams are used as load-bearing components, their centerlines should be consistent with those of the curtain wall. Meanwhile, the centerlines of the elliptical screw holes also need to match the positions of the anchor bolts of the curtain wall hangers.

4. A rigid horizontal force transmission structure should be set between the hanging clips of the suspended all-glass curtain wall and the main structure to ensure the effective transmission of force.

After the welding of the steel structure is completed, the concealed works should be inspected and accepted. Only after the inspection is qualified can the anti-rust paint application work be carried out.

6. As the glass panels of all-glass curtain walls are usually large in size, it is recommended to use mechanical suction cups for installation to ensure installation accuracy and efficiency.

7. On-site, silicone structural sealant is allowed to be injected into the glass panels of the all-glass curtain wall to enhance its sealing performance.

8. The all-glass board surface should avoid direct contact with other rigid materials. The gap between the board surface and the decoration surface or structural surface should be maintained at least 8mm and sealed with sealant.
