Fire-resistant tempered glass is a type of safety glass that combines the high strength oftempered glass with the fire resistance of fire-resistant glass. It is widely used in construction, fire partitions, doors and Windows, and other fields.
Basic Composition
Tempered glass: Through heat treatment or chemical treatment, compressive stress is formed on the surface of ordinary glass, increasing its strength by 4 to 5 times. When it breaks, it appears as fine particles (reducing the risk of injury).
Fireproof layer: On the basis of tempered glass, add a fireproof intermediate layer (suchas transparent fireproof glue, wire, gel or special interlayer), or apply a fireproof coating on the surface.

Main Types
Composite fire-resistant tempered glass: Multi-layer glass + fire-resistant laminated glass (such as PVB or fire-resistant gel), with a fire resistance time of up to 1 to 3 hours.
Single-pane fire-resistant tempered glass: With special chemical tempering treatment, it can withstand high temperatures but does not insulate heat (only blocks fire), and its fire resistance time is usually 0.5 to 1 hour.

Fire resistance limit: It is divided into three grades: integrity (E), thermal insulation (I), and thermal radiation barrier (W). For example, "EI60" indicates that it can withstand fire for 60 minutes while maintaining heat insulation.
