Low-e Laminated Glass

LOW-E laminated glass is a functional architectural glass that combines LOW-E low-emissivity glass with the structure of laminated glass. It is usually composed of LOW-E coated glass, intermediate films such as PVB, and another piece of glass. According to project requirements, it can be further combined with insulating structures to form LOW-E insulating laminated glass.

Low-emissivity coating improves heat transfer

The core of LOW-E glass lies in its low-emissivity coating.This coating can reduce the radiative heat transfer on the glass surface, thereby controlling the heat transfer between the interior and exterior of the building to a certain extent.In summer, it can help reduce some of the solar radiation heat entering the room. PVB laminated film is an important component of this type of glass.When the glass is subjected to a significant impact and breaks, the interlayer film can adhere to some of the fragments, preventing the glass from immediately forming a large number of scattered fragments like ordinary single-pane glass.Therefore, LOW-E laminated glass is particularly suitable for use in curtain walls, doors, floor-to-ceiling Windows and other building envelope parts where safety is required.
